OIL BOTTLE
The redesign of the Olna vegetable oil bottle was initiated to distinguish Olna, a new player in the Iranian market, from established competitors. Unlike other companies that often buy pre-made molds, Olna aimed for a custom bottle that would stand out both in form and function.
Design Process
The project began with a thorough review of Olna’s brand guidelines and a study of their production requirements. The challenge was to design a bottle that not only preserved the oil’s quality but also ensured ease of use during pouring. I proposed a novel PET bottle shape that maintains structural integrity while enhancing usability.
Innovative Features
Base Design: The bottle features a triangular base that transitions to a circular top. This unique shape helps stabilize the bottle and simplifies the pouring process.
Material Use: High-quality PET was chosen for its durability and clarity, ensuring the oil is visible and the packaging is recyclable.
Outcome
The final design was a resounding success, significantly differentiating Olna from its competitors and being well-received in consumer testing for its ease of use and distinctive appearance.
